Uncontested divorce

Uncontestsed divorce is the preferable way to obtain a divorce.  It is simple and less expensive than litigation.  Uncontested divorce means that you and your spouse, along with your attorneys, have worked out all of your matters together and do not need court intervention (other than to sign the Judgment of Divorce).  All of the issues resolved between you and your spouse are put into a Settlement Agreement which is signed by both sides and incorporated into the Judgment.  Some of the issues included in the Settlement Agreement are spousal support, child support, custody and visitation, as well as the dividing of marital assets.

While an uncontested divorce is not always possible, we always evaulate each case to determine if settlement and resolution is possible without court intervention.  If that is not the case, then our lawyers are prepared to go to court and fight for your best interests.
